The higher-dose formulation of Semaglutide is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise for long-term weight management in adults with obesity (initial body mass index (BMI) \u2265 30 kg\/m2) or who are overweight (initial BMI \u2265 27 kg\/m2) and have at least one weight-related comorbidity.<\/p>\n<h2>Action:<\/h2>\n<p>Semaglutide reduces high blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin released, decreasing the amount of glucagon released, and delaying gastric emptying. Semaglutide also controls appetite and helps reduce the amount of food a person wants to eat. In addition, Semaglutide reduces preference for high-fat meals.<\/p>\n<h2>Dosage:<\/h2>\n<p>The beginning dose is 0.25 mg once a week for the first 4 weeks. This will help give your body a chance to get used to the medicine.
